SeatFinder (seat-planner.com) is a free browser tool for planning event seating charts. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the site.
We do not collect your seating data
SeatFinder runs entirely in your web browser. Guest names, table layouts, and other plan details you enter are stored only on your device (in browser storage). We do not operate a backend, accounts, or analytics. We never receive, store, or process your seating plans on our servers.
What stays on your device
- Your seating plan and preferences, saved automatically in browser storage
- Files you export (PNG or JSON) are downloaded to your device
- Files you import are read locally in your browser
You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for seat-planner.com, or by removing exported files from your device.
Guest names you enter
You may type names of real people into the planner. That information is personal data under privacy laws, but it is processed only on your device for your own use. We are not the data controller for guest names you choose to enter.
Cookies and tracking
SeatFinder does not set cookies and does not use advertising or analytics trackers. We do not build profiles of visitors.
Hosting
When you load the website, standard web server logs from our hosting provider may temporarily record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This is necessary to deliver the site and is handled according to the provider’s policies. We do not link this data to your seating plans.
Your rights
Because we do not hold your seating data, most data-subject requests (access, deletion, etc.) apply to information on your own device. For questions about this policy, contact us at contact@seat-planner.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
